From 6th to 11th August 2012, 300 volunteers will join as Peace Builders to help build 24 houses and a community center for families living in Pathayamwatte village, in the Western Province of Sri Lanka, approximately 40 km from Colombo. One of the 24 houses will be built prior to the arrival of the volunteers.

HFHSL’s Corporate Build is an innovative fund raising program that will bring together members of the corporate sector to one location with one aim – help build homes for the poverty stricken families. The funds raised from this initiative will be also used for further engagement in building homes in the North and East.
Over two weekends (26th and 27th May and 2nd and 3rd of June, 2012), volunteers from the sponsoring companies along with university students, will work on laying foundations, building walls, constructing toilets and other needed parts of the scheme for 23 houses.
