The 'Little Affiliate' That Could Gets a Brand New Office!

Since 2002, Monaragala affiliate coordinator Shantha Perera has lived, worked and hosted supporters in a tiny two-room house. Yet with just three staff members and one motorbike, this Habitat leader with the “I think I can” attitude has guided the affiliate in building a remarkable 470 houses with needy families!  Take a look at the opening of the Monaragala office, which took place March 4th, 2006. 

Colombo staff began the eight-hour trip to the new office the night before. Monaragala is a poor, rural area, but one of Sri Lanka's most beautiful.

The new office is next to the old office, where affiliate coordinator Shantha Perera used to live and work. Now the old office is Shantha's home.
