Three Pre-schools that were built with the funding of Coca-Cola were opened on the 25^th of November 2012 in Batticaloa, East of Sri Lanka. The opening ceremony was attended by a representative of Coca-Cola Ms. Rushika Perera- Assistant Manager, Public Affairs and Communications, Coke Sri Lanka and representatives from Habitat: Mr. Haroon Cassiere, Mr. Tony Senewiratne, Mr. Thavarajah (NBOD) and HRC East Staff.

The teachers, children and parents of Navatkudah, Paruthichenai and Kinnayady pre-schools welcomed the guests with garlands and as tradition called, boiled milk in front of the new building before entering it, symbolizing prosperity and success in the future. After a few speeches, the guests gave the children gift packets and trees were planted in the school vicinity as memorials.
